Lammas
Lammas falls on the 1st of August. It is the time of the first harvest and a time to celebrate that once again the Goddess has kept her promise and provided for us. It is a time to honour grain Goddesses such as Ceres and Demeter. Lugh, the Celtic grain God was traditionally sacrificed at this time to ensure a successful harvest in the coming year.

It is a time to let go of past griefs and move on. It is a good time for divorce. But is also a good time for marriage between people who plan to be spiritual partners.

I'm not sure if Lammas has an associated Christian day. I would imagine that this is about the same time as the Christians have their harvest festivals, Lammas is ours!
